Some of you may remember several years ago my father and I made spinning wheels. Our venture was cut short due to a fire that took my dad’s shop and all of the equipment and supplies that were in it. My dad eventually got back up on his feet, but decided due to his age, not to rebuild the shop. In the process of trying to clear out some things, I am letting go of the remaining wheels that I have.
I have 3 Infinity wheels-Only one of which is for sale at this time as I am trying to obtain the remaining parts to make the other 2 complete. (Once I have, they will be listed as well)
now, here are the issues: The whorl does not “match up” with the big wheel, in that, you can set the drive band to line up with 1 notch, but if you want to change to a different ratio, you will likely need to completely switch out the band. If you are okay with leaving it on one ratio, then it should be fine. (this is what I do with my own infinity wheel) My dad was not as detail oriented as I would have liked towards the end of our venture and had a tendency to rush through the machining of these parts. Each of these wheels only come with one bobbin. If you or someone you know is handy with a lathe, this would be an easy remedy. The wheel is unfinished as well, so would need staining or sealing of some sort.
I do still have the instructions that we were sending out with the wheels. Please be aware though, that these wheels are being sold AS IS. With the understanding that there are issues with them as stated above.
