I’d ideally like to find an Ashford Joy or something similar that is easy to transport to my spinning group. Single or double treadle is fine. I can’t spend more than $300 right now so I know this may be a problem, but if someone has one collecting dust that they are willing to part with, please let me know. I am in NM so can drive a few hours to get it, or would pay shipping from anywhere farther away. I will be in NC for a knitting retreat in April, so picking it up there, preferable from Asheville west, would also be a possibility. Thank you!

FS: Spinolution Worker Bee

cross posted
MODDED Spinolution Worker Bee with Golden Whorl and three (3) 16oz. bobbins. About 4 months old. Lightly used.
There were some really bad circumstances getting this wheel, and now every time I try to spin on her I’m reminded of it. As much as I love the wheel itself, I don’t want to deal with the negative energy it produces for me.
This is a really neat travel wheel (and perfect for a small space) because all you do is fold in the treadles, pull the knob, and lower the entire top down into the box. You don’t have to take off any bands, or looser screws, or anything.
Ok about the mods: I changed out one side of the flyer pegs to cup hooks. Hooks work so much better for me when I’m spinning big texture and art yarns, so I changed out one side. These hook are only hand screwed in the holes. They are not glued, or permanent, and can be easily removed. The old pegs and screws will be included in case you should want to put them back in, however with how much wiggling it took to pull them out, it might take some doing to get them back in.
The hooks DO change the weight of the flyer, making the side with the hooks always facing down when the wheel is at rest. See photo. This is because the hooks weigh more than the pegs. This did not bother me while spinning, but is something to take into consideration.
I’d like $800 for the wheel, which includes up to $50 shipping. If the shipping is over $50 (quite possibly for west coast), then you will be responsible for the overage. I’m doubtful the shipping would be over $75, but you never know with the USPS.
Please ask any questions. I take paypal, or can send a Square invoice if you’d rather go that route.
FS: Hansen V1.0 Minispinner, CPW, Jensen

I have, sadly, too many wheels— so I’m selling some. While I’m happy to ship the Minispinner, I am not willing to ship the CPW and I’d strongly prefer not to ship the Jensen.
Shipping would be at the buyer’s expense.
- Hansen Minispinner, V1.0 (no ‘tap tap’ technology) in Maple. Bought new in 2013, just after the first major software upgrade. Comes with 4 bobbins, orifice reducers, a never-used car adaptor, a foot pedal, an orifice hook, paperwork, maintenance kit. And of course, a HansenCrafts bag. Very lightly used, in great condition. Sorry, dog not included. $500.
- CPW with 30 inch drive wheel, no maker’s mark (but likely a Bordua), bought in 2012 from eBay. Sadly, this lovely boy has had a heart transplant. The flyer was in poor shape, and local wheelwright David Potter fashioned a new flyer for me, as well as providing me with 5 (!!) bobbins. Due to the heart transplant, and issues that mostly have to do with spinning on an antique wheel, his price is $300.
- This is, according to Mr. Jensen, a wheel that he made for SAFF for a raffle, many years ago, out of black walnut. I don’t know how it got back to Minnesota, but he kindly rehabilitated it for me, adding half-spokes in cherry with a black walnut finish. She has 3 black walnut, finished whorls, and I have an additional 3 whorls that are unfinished and made from cherry. She has 4 finished bobbins in black walnut, and 5 unfinished cherry bobbins. She has a matching orifice hook, and can be converted from double drive to scotch tension.
Due to my dog being an asshole, the scotch tension pick is broken and she will need refinished, so her price (after rehabilitation, she cost $1300) is $500 with all accoutrements.

FS Ashford Scholar Mark 2 $300

All original except new scotch tension line and rubber foot connector plus a fancy orifice hook. Made of silver beech, solid and well working wheel with minor wear (due to sliding on hard surfaces so I’ll include a rubber shelf liner to omit further wear n tear that occurred with previous owner). Two speed whorl has a chip missing but does not affect spinning at all. 1/2” orifice permits thick and thin yarns.
Buyer pays shipping and I have experience packing and shipping.
The wheel is not wobbly from the wear marks. Good solid spinner!
Does not throw the drive band. Kiwi 1/2 flyer and whorl would fit this wheel but is NOT needed.

FS:Strauch DoubleWide Electric Finest

I have not been using this as much as I thought I would and I need money for car stuff. I sold one, decided I missed it, bought this one. There is some damage to the teeth, there is a row missing because I got something stuck in the teeth. It works fine even with the missing teeth. It is a 2009 model I believe. It does not have any accessories and I do not have the original box. Willing to consider offers. Asking 1700. Shipping would be 85.

FS: Addi Flexi Flips

I have 4 sets of Addi Flexi Flips for sale.
My thumbs and my right hand index fingers are freezing from arthritis and I find it difficult to hold these in a comfortable manner. They are practically brand new!
Two were purchased overseas and came in little boxes, while the other two were purchased here in the states and are packaged in tubes.
I have 2.0 mm, 2.25 mm, 2.50 mm and 2.75 mm
$22 per needle set or all 4 for $80.00 plus $6.00 shipping.
Thanks so much, Yvette
FS: Louet S17 Single Treadle

Shout out to MN, ND, MT, SD Spinners!
Nice Louet S17. Great for beginners and experienced spinners alike.
Price- $325.00
I added a little blue button to wrap your yarn when you rest.
I prefer NOT to ship wheels.
This comes with an extra bobbin.(4 total)
I know a lot of people nix the single treadle, but I’ve found that I really don’t mind singles. This treadle is big enough to put both feet on, if needed!
Thanks for your time!

FS: Louet Spinning Wheel Bag

x-posted
(Stock photo from Louet pictured below of bag in use.)
This is the carry bag that came with my Louet S10C wheel. (the full size wheel, not the travel one.) I don’t travel with my wheels so I don’t have any use for it. It’s brand new, never even taken out of the plastic. It’s HUGE and has padding, rubber feet, and a backpack for easy carrying. Photo shown of the man wearing the bag is the stock photo from the Louet manual. It should give you a better idea of it’s shape and size. From the information I could find on the web, the bag measures 24” tall x 21” wide, and 10” deep (8” actual space, 2” front pocket.) I’m sure it would work with other wheels (perhaps also a loom), you would just need to measure your wheel.
New this bag sells for $150. I’d like $80 plus shipping from zip 21754 (Maryland).
