Hello, I thought I might want another spinning wheel to compliment my e-spinner. Well the knee’s still don’t like treadling. Therefore, I have for sale a nearly new Sonata, with carry case, and 6 bobbins, and the high speed flyer. I have stained this wheel a turquoise color to match my southwestern home. An essential tool for any knitter or crocheter, the Yarn Swift holds your hanks or skeins of yarn in place as you wind them into balls.
Simply clamp the swift onto a table or counter top to start winding yarn neatly and easily. Starting with the umbrella in the down position, place the open loop of the hank over the swift and pull it lightly so the far side of the hank is against the center of the umbrella. Then, use your free hand to slide up the umbrella clamp and open the umbrella to snuggly fit the circumference of the hank. Finally, secure the umbrella clamp in place and then wind away!
Measures approx. 26” (66cm) in diameter (68”/173cm circumference) and 26” (66cm) tall when open. Clamp opening fits tables up to 1 1/2” thick.
BMH 4 pitch comb (Hybrid) and hackle set (recessed clamp area) with clamps and tool cover in purple heartwood and oak. No tine straightener. I’m also tossing in a Heavy comb (for combing matted or problematic fleece), a Light Comb (good for cleaner and finer fleece), and a 2 Pitch comb good for shorter stapled fibers. The Heavy and Light combs have not been offered for years and the 2 pitch larger comb can only be gotten by itself via custom order. All combs show dings from use and the 2 pitch has some epoxy repair to the wood. They need dusting but are still very much in good use able condition. $675 firm.
